Kemopop! Just Got Harder!!


Is Kemopop! too easy for you?? Say no more....! 

Just in time for the Steam debut, this update adds new difficulty modes on a redesigned main menu. 

Four difficulty modes, Casual, Pro, Expert, and Legend, are now available for selection. The difficulty level dictates how quickly the special bar will fill, and how quickly you have to drop the sweet you have waiting!! As a reward for your due diligence, you'll get some extra cash...

The Pro difficulty is close to the previous Kemopop! difficulty level. Casual offers an even more relaxed experience for players who aren't used to high-action gameplay. If you really want gameplay that harmonises with the soundtrack, try Legend difficulty!!!

New achievements have been added for players who complete all main (i.e., non-guest) stages at a particular difficulty level.

UI changes

  • The stage completion marker now indicates what difficulty you've completed it at (stars in blue, bronze, silver, gold).
  • The main character select button will show the lowest completed difficulty across all stages.
  • A new second progress bar now shows completion% towards what counts as completing the stage. This will disappear when you reach the final scene.
  • The progress bars for the special and level progress are now more smoothly animated.

Miscellaneous

  • The "Zen" gamemode is now retired as the new difficulty scaling has made the idea obsolete. Azura's second stage was retooled.
  • Special meter charge speed has been slightly increased across all difficulties.
  • A new music track has been added to the Gumball Machine...!
